As a result of The Water Act 2003, UK law now allows anyone to own a private water borehole and to pump up to 20,000 litres per day without requiring a licence. There are no restrictions on the use to which the water can be put - even if a hosepipe ban is in force.   Boreholes for use with ground source heating can provide cost effective means of heating and cooling houses and commercial premises. We can undertake drilling and installation of both open and closed loop systems.   We also undertake drilling for site investigations, monitoring, soakaways and de-watering schemes.   We provide a full service from arranging a survey or prognosis to drilling and completion of the borehole and installation of pumps, sterilisation and filtration systems. Our rigs will pass through a normal house door way or along narrow access paths. The process of drilling a water well using the cable percussion method is not basically messy, and the materials arising are not normally hazardous.
